The 2023 Domaine Guillot-Gonin Morgon, Les Charmes is a structured and expressive Gamay from an excellent vintage. Expect pure, bright red and dark fruit aromas like crushed strawberries, cherries, and plums. The wine's minerality should also come through as hints of gravel or crushed stones, alongside floral and violet notes. The palate is likely to be concentrated and fleshy, with a generous mouthfeel and a balance of powerful fruit and fine, silky tannins. The characteristic minerality of the Morgon cru is likely to provide a fresh, structured backbone to the wine.
