The 2022 Sanguis Bossman is a California Central Coast Syrah-based blend praised for its balanced complexity, featuring notes of ripe blueberry, strawberry, bacon, and spice. Winemaker Matthias Pippig notes the blend's Northern Rhône-like qualities, highlighting a spiced compote of red and blue fruits with balanced depth and a supple, yet edgy, character that cuts through rich foods. With a small production of 110 cases, it was fermented with 55% whole clusters, aged for two years in seasoned and new French oak, and is considered a wine with significant aging potential.
